God of our ancestors -
In the dark before dawn, we wait to cross into new lands.
May we carry Your commandments and teachings into these new spaces. May we keep Your decrees, so our days may be long, and so our children and children’s children fear You all the days of their lives.
You, unspeakable name, are our God. You alone.
May we keep Your words in our hearts - reciting them, talking about them throughout our days’ movements, binding them on our hands, fixing them on our foreheads, and writing them on our homes’ doorposts. May we embody these words that protect our thresholds.
In the name of the One whom we love with all our hearts, all our souls, and all our minds, we pray.
Amen.
