Lord -
Here we are. In the wilderness of the unknown. Evening turns to morning. Morning turns to evening.
We complain as we live this daily rhythm - “If only we had…”
You hear our complaints and rain down sustenance for us. May we go out and gather enough for each day that we encounter.
May we look toward our wildernesses and see Your glory there. May we draw near to You for You hear our complaints.
As evening falls, may we see how Your nurturing provisions cover our wilderness camps. As morning unfolds and brings fresh light, may we see Your presence in the twinkling layer of dew that surrounds us.
Sometimes we do not recognize how You provide. We look upon our wilderness - bewildered by what we see - and ask, “What is it?”
Open our eyes, Lord, so that as we look toward our wildernesses, we daily see the bread that You have given us to eat.
Amen.
