Judge of all the earth –
You hear the outcries over our world’s grave sin. As You come down and see what has occurred, may we remain standing before You.
May we – who are but dust and ashes – come near You and ask for just mercy.
“Will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked?”
“Will you indeed sweep away the place and not forgive it?”
Far be it from You, Lord, to do such a thing. May we, like Abraham, advocate for forgiveness of the whole place.
