Lord –
Our coastlands wait for Your teaching. Meet us at the water’s edge…declare new things to us and tell us of them before they spring forth.
We remember Your servant this week…the one You uphold, Your chosen, in whom Your soul delights. The one who will faithfully bring forth justice. The one who will not grow faint nor be crushed.
Give breath to Your people and spirit to all moving within creation. Take our hands and keep us, so we may join Your servant’s mission of opening eyes that are blind, bringing out prisoners from dungeons, and protecting dimly burning wicks.
In the name of the One calls us, we pray.
Amen.
(Additional Revised Common Lectionary texts for Monday of Holy Week include Psalm 36:5-11, Hebrews 9:11-15, and John 12:1-11.)
