Lord –
Your mouth has spoken. May we live Your word.
May we remove our yokes, our pointing of fingers, our speaking of evil. May we offer food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted.
May we refrain from trampling the sabbath. May we honor and delight in Your holy day – setting aside our own ways, interests, and affairs.
Living Your word, our light shines in the darkness and our gloom becomes like the noonday.
Guide our living, Lord. Make our bones strong. Make us like a garden’s spring, whose waters never fail. Make us repairers of the breach and restorers of the street.
In the name of the One who meets us in parched places, we pray.
Amen.
