Jesus -
In the coming and going of our lives, we find ourselves leisure-less and hungry. As we gather around You to tell you all that we have done, may we hear your invitation - “Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.”
Have compassion on us for we are like sheep without a shepherd. Teach us how to rest, so we may live and serve.
May we recognize You as the people of Gennesaret did. May we rush to You at the water’s edge and bring You our sicknesses. May we touch the fringe of Your cloak and receive Your restorative healing.
Amen.
