One who comes down -
Strong cravings are among us.
We hear the weeping that occurs throughout families as they huddle at their tents’ entrances. Standing at the threshold - in a liminal space between Egypt and promised land - their strength is depleted.
We hear their weeping and pray to You. Deeply feeling their burden, we cry out to You wondering how we can meet their needs.
We cannot carry it all alone - it is too heavy.
May we hear Your instruction to gather elders - to create a community who takes their place with us. May Your Spirit rest upon this community - pushing us into the camp, pushing us to prophesy, pushing us to care together for Your people.
Amen.
