O God, our God –
In this dry and weary land, our souls thirst and our flesh faints.
So, we seek You. Because Your steadfast love is better than life, we look upon You and behold Your power and glory. We praise You with our lips and bless You as long as we live. We lift up our hands and call on Your name.
Satisfy our souls with a rich feast. Cover us with the shadow of your wings. Uphold us with Your right hand.
When we meditate on You in the watches of the night, be our help as our souls cling to You.
Amen and amen.
