One upon whom we have leaned from birth –
Deliver and rescue us. Incline Your ear to us.
Rock of refuge – strong fortress – save us.
The wicked’s unjust and cruel hands grasp us. But we will hope continually and praise You yet more and more.
Old age approaches and our strength is spent. But we will hope continually and praise You yet more and more.
We fear there is no one to deliver us. But we will hope continually and praise You yet more and more.
Our hope – our trust – make haste to help us.
Amen.
